- Kids Health &
Fitness Expo. The Glendale Healthy Kids Invites
you to Kids Health & Fitness Expo. Saturday, March 24,
2012, 10am to 2pm, Edison Pacific Community Center. There
will be FREE screenings and services including: vision and
hearing exams, Lions Eye screenings, Dental Screenings,
Scollosis Exam, Child ID fingerprinting, Nutrition Information,
TDAP Immunizations, and more! The event is presented by
the Glendale Sunrise and Glendale Noon Rotary Clubs.

Windstorm Response Assessment Panel.
Rep. Adam Schiff (CA-29) will host a roundtable discussion
with federal, state and local officials, representatives
from local utilities, FEMA, the CPUC and others at the 9th
Circuit Court of Appeals, at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, focusing
on the response to last months windstorm and how our
region can be better prepared for a future emergency. The
panel will also examine efforts to assist those whose homes
and businesses were damaged in the storm.

The YMCA of Glendale and the City of
Glendale Police Activity League are pleased to announce
the PAL Boxing & Dance Youth Program. It's Boxing
on Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 pm; Latin Fusion
dance on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 pm,
and Jazz Funk dance on Monday and Wednesday from

- The Performing
Arts Academy started last October 3, 2011 with
classes in Creative and Expressive Art, Latin Fusion, Jazz
Funk, Acting and Improvisation & Dance and Motion. For

- Afro Funk Dance
Fitness. A combination of traditional and stylized
African and Caribbean dance in a dynamic and fun workout
format!! For all ages and levels. Tuesdays, 5:30 to 6:30
PM at the Group Fitness Room, Third floor. Our newest instructor

Schedule. Our Flexercise schedule is now 7:30
to 8:30 PM (following Sam's Aerobox Class). Instructor Anne
Haschka helps you to sculpt and tone your entire body in
a strenght training class that incorporates hand weights,

Get your workout done before work or during lunch breaks
AND feel great the rest of the day. Betsy and Michelle will
guide you through a series of exercise "stations"
designed to build muscular and cardiovascular strength.
Fast paced, easy-in, easy-out at Glendale YMCA's Youth Fitness
Center. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7AM to 7:40AM for the AM
Circuit and Mondays, 12:00 to 12:40PM for the Lunch Circuit.
