We encourage you to attend summer camp this
upcoming summer and are suggesting that you look into beautiful
Camp Fox on Catalina Island for any of 5 weeks conducted by
the YMCA of Glendale. The Glendale Y has conducted summer
camps at Camp Fox for over 86 consecutive years. There are
a myriad of activities for youth to participate as well as
a Family Week-end camp Labor Day Aug. 31-Sept. 2 for all ages
infants to Grandparents.
There
are 5 separate weeks in June, July and August for ages 8-17.
All the camps are Coed Camps. Come and enjoy the enchantment
of an island paradise, CAMP FOX on CATALINA ISLAND.

As
you participate and enjoy the many aspects of camp life,
you will meet and make friends while having the opportunity
to try new things. Enjoy water activities, land
lubber sports, special meals, crafts, chapel and
nightly campfires. We provide a fun, unique camp experience
geared to meet needs of our various ages through special
activities and programs. Senior campers (ages 14 and up)
have a nightly program that emphasizes team building and
leadership development. |

Junior High
Ages 11 -14
|
Filled with non-stop laughs and
thrills, our campers count the days until they step
on the pier at Camp Fox. Almost all of the college age
leaders were past campers and our directing staff has
nearly 100 years of Camp Fox camping experienced combined.
Focusing on our campers mental, physical emotional and
spiritual way of life, our campers have one of the most
memorable weeks of their lives!"
NOTE: Jr High Camp CIT program for
age 15-17. Must apply to Jeff Reisbeck by filling out
volunteer application and returning to Camp Department.

ACTIVITIES
INCLUDE Snorkeling (mask, fin, snorkel and wetsuit provided),
Kayaking, Archery, Swimming (marked swim area), Tubing, Fishing,
Stand-up Paddleboarding, Climbing Wall, Low and High Ropes
challenge Course, Giant Swing, Leap of Faith, Basketball,
Volleyball, soccer, Softball, Frisbee Golf Course, Gaga Pit,
Hiking, Ping Pong, Aquarium Study Pools, Touch Tank aquarium,
XXXLarge Slip n' Slide, Tidepools, Field Games, Campfires,
Skits, Songs, Dances, Chapels and lots of special fun designed
for each age level each week.
CAMP FOX
kickoff sign-up day will be Saturday, February 23 at the YMCA
of Glendale from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. A $75 deposit will guarantee
you a space in the camp of your choice. Address is 140 N.
Louise Street, Glendale CA 91206. Burbank YMCA members pay
the Membership fee for the entire week of $595 (non YMCA members
pay $620). Family Camp rates are $245 for adults (ages 17
& up), $235 for children (ages 3-17) and there is no charge
for 0-2 years old. Family camp spot can be held for a $25
deposit per person.
